Description
Basic Life Support (BLS) training involves completing a comprehensive 5 hour course in association with the Irish Heart Foundation. This course is suitable for medical, paramedical and allied healthcare professions.
Course Content
- Paediatric, Adult CPR which includes 2 rescue scenarios
- Use of bag valve mask (BVM) and barrier devices
- Management of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO)
- Use of Automated External Diffibrillator (AED)
This course lasts for a total of 5 hours, after which all successful participants will receive wallet sized certificates provided by the Irish Heart Foundation. These certificates are then valid for a period of 2 years.
